# Introduction

> Loopdesk is a web app for creating videos with AI, editing them, scheduling them to social platforms and tracking how they perform.

Loopdesk is a web app for making and publishing video. You can generate a complete film from a written prompt, edit your own footage with help from an AI assistant, schedule finished videos to a connected YouTube channel and review your channel's performance.

## What you can do in Loopdesk

> **[Generate a film with Storyteller](/storyteller/overview.md)**
>
> Describe a film in a prompt. Storyteller writes, designs, animates and narrates it for you.

> **[Edit in the Video Editor](/video-editor/overview.md)**
>
> Build a video on a timeline with your own media, stock media, text and motion elements.

> **[Edit with Aura](/video-editor/aura.md)**
>
> Ask Aura, the editor's AI assistant, to analyze your video, suggest edits, create highlights or generate captions.

> **[Schedule posts](/scheduling/calendar.md)**
>
> Plan when your rendered videos go out to a connected YouTube channel.

> **[Connect your accounts](/social-accounts/overview.md)**
>
> Connect a YouTube channel so you can schedule posts and view analytics.

> **[Review analytics](/analytics/channel-insights.md)**
>
> Track views, watch time, subscribers and engagement for your connected channel.

## Storyteller and the Video Editor are separate

Loopdesk has two separate ways to create a video:

* **Storyteller** generates a finished film from your prompt. You review and approve its work along the way, then play or download the result. A Storyteller film doesn't open directly in the Video Editor, but you can download it and import it into a project to edit it.
* The **Video Editor** is where you build and edit a project yourself on a timeline, with Aura to help.

To choose the right one for your video, see [How Loopdesk works](/getting-started/workflow-overview.md).

## Credits

Some AI features use credits, including Storyteller and Aura. The amount depends on the task. To check your balance and usage, go to **Settings** > **Billing & Usage**. See [Credits and billing](/account/credits-and-billing.md).
